What it is
The Compact 160 is Ritmo’s small-bore butt fusion machine, and the name is honest. The machine body is two clamps, detaches from its frame in seconds, and weighs 48.5 lb on its own, so you can fuse on the ground, suspended in the line, or inside a pit where a four-clamp frame will not fit. The full standard composition is 145.5 lb, light enough to move without a machine.
The electro-hydraulic gearcase rides in its own protective box and manages fusion pressure precisely, including in Dual Pressure mode. The heating plate is Teflon coated with an independent verification thermometer, and the electric facer carries long-life blades with a safety microswitch and motor overload protection.

Power & Generator
The Compact 160 runs on 110V or 230V single phase, 50/60 Hz, drawing about 2,320W on the 110V version. Off grid, a 3.5–4 kVA generator covers the facer, heater plate, and gearcase with room to spare. Details are in our power and generator requirements guide.
Materials
The Compact 160 fuses HDPE and PPR-RCT pipe. PP-R facer blades are available, so tell us the material when you book and the machine ships set up for it.
