HDPE Fusion Training Videos

The fastest way to get comfortable with a fusion machine is to watch one run. The HDPE fusion training videos below cover machine setup, generator and power requirements, and the full fusion cycle: facing, alignment, heat soak, fusion, and cooling.

They’re worth fifteen minutes before your rental arrives. A crew that has watched the cycle once tends to be productive the first morning instead of the second day, whether the job is in the Puget Sound area or on the Front Range.

What to Watch For

As you watch, pay attention to a few things that carry straight over to your jobsite:

• Power. Note what each machine needs from a generator. Generator rentals are easy to find through national rental networks anywhere in the western U.S., and we’ll point you in the right direction on sizing when you book your fusion machine.
• Facing and alignment. Every walk-through spends time here, because this is where joints are won or lost.
• The clock. Heat soak and cooling times are not suggestions. Our article on fusion joint quality covers why.
