What it is

The Spider 125 Series 2 is McElroy’s answer to socket fusion above 2″, where heating and joining by hand stops being practical. It fuses PPR-RCT pipe and fittings from 63 to 125 mm, and one operator handles the whole cycle: align, heat, fuse, and cool. A strong gearbox and self-locking drive handle hold alignment and constant fusion pressure through the joint, so joint quality does not depend on how hard somebody can push.

The clamping is the smart part. A universal jaw system fits every pipe brand and fitting with no inserts to chase, and the jaw design keeps the pipe round while spreading clamping force evenly. Removable fitting stops add HDPE capability, and a D-ring on top gives you a lift point and drop protection when you are working off a ladder.

At 17.5 by 14.5 by 18.5 inches, the Spider is compact enough for overhead, vertical, and tight indoor fusions, from the attic to the mechanical room floor. For branch outlets instead of straight socket joints, look at the Hornet.

Power & Generator

The Spider itself is manual: clamping and fusion force come from the drive handle, not a power unit. The only electrical load is the McElroy socket heater, available in 110V and 230V versions, so any standard jobsite circuit or a small inverter generator runs it.
