The McElroy TracStar 500 is a self-propelled butt fusion machine on rubber tracks, handling HDPE pipe from 6 in. IPS up to 20 in. It carries its own onboard power, so the fusion operation drives itself down the right-of-way instead of waiting on a crane, a trailer, or a generator drop at every joint.

Power & Generator
The TracStar 500 is self-contained: its onboard engine runs the tracks, hydraulics, heater, and facer, so there is no separate generator to source for the fusion unit itself.
